An extraordinary collection of art greets the visitor to the Stark Museum of Art. The collection focuses on the stunning land, the dramatic people and the diverse wildlife of the American West.  Paintings, sculpture and prints interpret the West from nineteenth century frontier artists to the twentieth century artistic colonies in New Mexico. Artists include John James Audubon, Fremont F. Ellis, Nicolai Fechin, Thomas Moran, William Herbert Dunton, Paul Kane, and more. The Museum also features American Indian art of clothing, baskets, and pottery; American Birds in porcelain by Dorothy Doughty; The United States in Crystal by Steuben Glass; and special exhibitions. Focus tours are available on Stark Museum highlights; Native Americans; Cowboy Charlie Russell; and Frederic Remington. Admission is free.
