ORANGE, Texas, August 8, 2008 - The Stark Museum of Art
reveals a new look as it celebrates 30 years of presenting fine art to the
region. Changes include a redesigned Web site, a new logo, new phone number,
and changed mailing address.
The updated Web site (www.starkmuseum.org) presents an
online introduction to one of the finest collections of American Western Art
anywhere. The Web site opens with a bold presentation of selected works as well
as photographs of the museum. On the site, visitors will find information about
past, present, and future exhibitions, upcoming events, the collections, tours
and other educational programs, children's activities, the Museum Store, the
museum's history, and more. The site contains information on hours of
operation, free admission and parking, and directions to the museum. Visitors
may also sign-up to receive updates on the latest news and events at the Stark
Museum of Art.
The new logo complements the collection of American Western
art on view in the museum. It features a bold graphic line with a cascading
color spectrum that reflects the dramatic use of light in many of the works in
the museum's collection. The typography represents the museum with
characteristics of Western design and a handcrafted look.
For easier memorization, the museum has acquired a new
telephone number, 409.886.ARTS (2787). Mail is now being received directly at
the museum at 712 Green Avenue,
Orange, Texas 77630-5721 rather than the post
office box.

States in Crystal, a collection of crystal urns
produced by Steuben Glass to depict the 50 states and the Union.
