December
20, 2006, Arlington, TX:
The award-winning Studio Movie Grill proudly announces the opening of its fourth
Texas venue in Arlington, anchoring the new $100 million Arlington Highlands Shopping
Center development. The new state-of-the-art
cinema, located at 225 Merchants Row, Arlington, Texas
76018, will debut on
January 15, 2007. The Dallas-based pioneer of the “movie grill” concept, Studio
Movie Grill combines first-run movies, a state-of-the-art viewing experience and
high quality food. Not only is the Arlington location the largest Studio Movie
Grill theater to date, it is also the company’s first, and one of few in the
world, to be built from the ground-up. It will feature the most technologically
advanced projection and sound systems in the Southwest. Continuing its
unprecedented success, the premier Studio Movie Grill establishes itself as the
top movie grill concept in the nation.
A
40,000-square foot ground-up facility, the new Studio Movie Grill is part of
Arlington
Highlands Shopping Center, a 910,000-square foot
retail development and the largest non-mall retail shopping center in
Dallas-Fort Worth once completed. Several retailers committed to the project
include Cheesecake Factory, Bed Bath & Beyond, Gloria's, Fish City Grill, Mi
Cocina, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Broyhill, Ulta, PetSmart and others.
Focusing
on “Food, Film & Fun” for the entire family and cinephiles alike, the
Arlington
location will show first run movies in a first-class setting. It will also set
new standards in the movie grill industry globally, with Arlington as the premium
version, featuring nine screens equipped with the best in 100% Dolby Digital
sound, custom designed projection package including Kineton projectors, and
Christie projection packages. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax in
the household comfort of individual leather recliners, combining the best in
entertainment and dining under one roof in a comfortable and inviting
environment.
Its
four-star kitchen, overseen by Executive Chef Thad Kelley, will offer the same
extensive food menu featured twice on the Food Network’s Top Five, with such items as Half Rack of
smoked St. Louis BBQ Back Ribs, Gourmet Pizzas with honey-baked dough brushed
with honey butter, or fresh salads with homemade dressings. The full-service beverage menu includes
domestic and imported beers, premium wines, and specialty mixed drinks, such as
a Kahlua Mudslide, Starbuck’s Mochatini™, or the signature 20 oz. Studio Grandé
Blue Margarita. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
Capturing
the company’s reputation for excellence, Studio Movie Grill was voted “2006 Best
Theater in Dallas” by Dallas Morning News. Even Dallas Cowboys
great and movie fan Tony Romo declared his favorite pastime is to watch movies
at Studio Movie Grill in a recent interview in Modern Luxury
magazine.
“We
are energized to be part of such a notable project in Arlington and grateful for
the support from the community,” says Brian Schultz, founder, co-owner and
president of Studio Movie Grill. “Arlington is a town that understands and lives
our tagline, ‘Food, Film & Fun,’ hosting such entertainment as Six Flags,
Texas Rangers, Texas Stadium . . . and soon . . . Studio Movie
Grill!”
