STUDIO MOVIE GRILL OFFERS SUMMER CHILDREN’S SERIES, CONCERTS AND OTHER ALTERNATE PROGRAMMING

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The newly opened Studio Movie Grill at Zona Rosa will feature an affordably priced Summer Children’s Series as well as unique concerts, operas and documentaries as part of its ongoing SMG With A Twist programming.

 

The 2010 Summer Children’s Series at Studio Movie Grill starts June 7 and runs through Aug. 19. All movies start at 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday and cost $1 for children aged 12 and under; and adults are $2. The movies are presented in partnership with the YMCA of Kansas City.

SMG with a Twist offers alternate choices in programming including concerts, opera, stand-up comedy, motivational speakers, sports, charitable events, documentaries and film festivals. Upcoming programming includes:

(Graduation Day, Memorial Valley Massacre, Slaughter High)

·       KidToons – Every weekend at 11 a.m., $2 admission. April movie: Care-Bears To The Rescue. May movie: Barbie in a Mermaid Tale

·       San Francisco Opera on the big screen – Every Saturday at 2 p.m. May 1 and 29 – Don Giovanni; May 8 – Madama Butterfly; May 15 La Rondine; Samson & Delilah – May 22. See all four for just $28.

 

Studio Movie Grill is located at 7430 NW 87th Street in Zona Rosa. The theater complex consists of eight 100-percent digital projection, Dolby Digital Surround Sound and Dolby 3D as well as an extensive menu for in-theater dining.
