Derick Schaefer is a 15 year veteran of the business information technology industry specializing in business to IT alignment and Internet Marketing.
In his career, Mr. Schaefer has consulted for enterprise organizations including McDonald's, Sears, Roebuck, & Co, HSBC, Occidental Petroleum, and Texas Instruments. His career includes employment at Cambridge Technology Partners, RPG's Zensar Technologies, and a 10 year stint at the Microsoft Corporation.
While at Microsoft, Derick Schaefer spent 5 years in Microsoft Consulting Services in both Dallas and Chicago consulting with enterprise customers and partners. For the next 5 years he served in the leadership team of Microsoft's Enterprise and Partner Group (EPG) as the Worldwide Director of Services and Technology Sales for Microsoft's coveted Global Accounts Division. As a part of this role he ran Global Account's Customer Leadership Program where he worked with small and medium sized business that were the downstream divisions of large corporate multinationals such as Nestle and Siemens to better understand the gaps between their business needs and Microsoft's technology stack. It is in this role where his passion for small business began.
