Sandy Gluckman, business speaker, business consultant, and author recently published an eRelease on Hubpages entitled "Business Team Building: Recognizing How Ego and Spirit Show Up" . In this article, Sandy Gluckman talks of a real life consulting experience where she sits in on the team meetings of both an ego driven leader and a spirited leader. In the ego driven meeting, the team was shut down from a communications perspective and simply provided "lip service". In the spirited leaders meeting, however, the team was energized and eager to perform as a result of the meeting.

Business team building is an important skill. There are many aspects of it; yet, once the right team has been selected, roles assigned, vision instilled, and goals defined, a business team has to be managed to performance. The team building experience is a constant process as each accomplishment, set back, or simply shift of direction are opportunities to lead a team and build a team. For ego driven leaders, these opportunities often create barriers between the team and the leader negating the team building process.

Are you a spirited leader or an ego driven leader? Are you struggling with team building within your organization?
