Philanthropic business and lotion manufacturer hosts several charitable events in the community.
Charitable companies are on the rise, and the philanthropic business Naterra International, Inc., is no exception. Recently, the Dallas/Ft. Worth-based Company and owner of Baby Magic and Tree Hut participated in several fundraisers, including those for The Mary Kay Foundation, University of Texas McCombs Legacy Campaign, and Go Red for Women Luncheon.
In October, Tree Hut, maker of Shea butter moisturizing lotion and other beauty products, sponsored the 6th Annual Dallas MK5K is an event that benefits The Mary Kay foundation, based in Addison. The Foundation’s mission is to fund the research of various types of cancer that affect women, prevent domestic violence, and raise awareness of both issues. Over the course of fifteen years, The Mary Kay Foundation has raised over $22 million dollars with 97 percent of every contribution going directly toward these causes.
The University of Texas McCombs Legacy Campaign is a program devoted to encouraging student involvement through philanthropy. Donations via Naterra International, Inc., encourage scholars to become leaders and altruists of the future.
Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association's national campaign that aims to maximize awareness of heart disease as well as encouraging women to take charge of their heart health, create healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The funding received helps support educational programs that the American Heart Association provides and the life-saving research it funds to reduce the effects of heart disease in women.
Known for their commitment to manufacturing and marketing products, like organic shea butter lotion and baby lotion, Naterra strives to promote a better way of living. The philanthropic business has also contributed items to the local women's shelter, The Bridge (a Dallas halfway house), and multiple churches.
