Getting an “A” Player
Oracle Hyperion Consulting

Below is a transcript of a portion of a North Texas Hyperion User Group Conference workshop led by consultants form US-Analytics. US-Analytics IT infrastructure experts discuss Oracle Hyperion Consulting and answer questions from the audience.

"Now, on to your infrastructure resource:  Are you getting an “A” player or are you training one? That’s kind of important to know.

"When you talk to whoever you’re talking to, if you can talk to the infrastructure consultant (for Oracle Hyperion consulting). If not make sure you’re talking to his manager or something, and find out what’s this guy's history. Has this guy been to a company like mine? If you have tight security, has he been to companies with firewalls between servers? Does he know SSL? Is he proxying this? All the things that are called not standard may be standard to your company, but aren’t just plain vanilla install. You should be asking these questions, because the last thing you want is an Oracle Hyperion consultant to come there and you’re paying him hourly to learn."
