Oracle Hyperion Product Documentation

Below is a transcript of a portion of a North Texas Hyperion User Group Conference workshop led by consultants form US-Analytics. US-Analytics IT infrastructure experts discuss Oracle Hyperion Product Documentation and answer questions from the audience.

"So then what’s the quality of your Oracle product documentation? Are you getting every single click? Are you able to do what Collin did, where they took our Oracle product documentation and made another environment, they made a dev environment for themselves? Would you feel comfortable that your consultant that when they left that you can do this?

"I’m not talking about these one off, extra problems, sometimes you install something twice and it works differently. But if everything worked the same, are you comfortable that you could definitely do another install. If not then you’re probably not getting quality Oracle product documentation, and you should make sure you do. It’s not necessarily screen shots, sometimes screenshots are confusing, but the wording has to be in there. That’s kind of key. If you don’t understand it then you’re gonna have problems. And God knows when everything is coming down and your CFO wants to punch you in the head because you’re environment is down, you’re mind’s not working the same as when we did the install the first time, so you need this written out in a very clear, concise way so you can go through and make sure all these things are the same. That’s really key."
