Valley Ranch Acupuncture is your source for quality, comprehensive health care. At Valley Ranch Acupuncture, you will experience a personalized approach to treatment.

If you struggle with chronic pain, want to experience wellness naturally, or if traditional therapies have failed you, it may be time to consider Valley Ranch Acupuncture.
What Is Acupuncture?
Your doctors at Valley Ranch Acupuncture are well-trained in this 3000-year-old Chinese healing technique. Acupuncture treatments work to restore and balance the body's vital energy, or chi. In order to achieve and maintain good health, the body's energy must flow smoothly. If the energy flow is disrupted or blocked, illness results. At Valley Ranch Acupuncture, your doctors will work with you to discover the cause of the imbalance and restore your chi.
The acupuncture treatment itself consists of the insertion of small, sterile needles placed on precise points of the body. While the idea of having needles inserted may be off-putting to first-time acupuncture patients, they soon discover that the experience is relatively pain-free and even pleasurable. Acupuncture is known to induce a state of relaxation while healing a number of ailments and diseases, from headaches and joint pain to diabetes and skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
What Should I Expect?
When you come in for treatment at Valley Ranch Acupuncture, we will first review your entire healh history before beginning the exam. The physical exam includes a detailed analysis of the pulse, tongue and face. Once a diagnosis has been reached, 1 to 9 needles may be inserted, although this varies depending on the patient.
When all of the needles are placed you will be left to relax in the treatment room for 15-20 minutes. After the treatment, your doctors may also recommend dietary and lifestyle changes or prescribe Chinese herbal medicine if needed.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Some patients only need one treatment, while others may need 4-5 before experiencing any results, especially for chronic conditions. A number of factors play a role, including diet and lifestyle, as well as the patient's active participation in achieving wellness.
Why Should I Use Valley Ranch Acupuncture?
Many M.D.s and D.C.s are practicing acupuncture with little or no acupuncture training. You MUST ask them how many hours of acupuncture training they have had. Two-thousand hours should be the minimum, and look for the initials L.Ac after your doctor's name. This certifies that your acupuncturist has been properly trained to treat you.
Your doctors at Valley Ranch Acupuncture are fully licensed to practice acupuncture. They have completed thousands of hours of training, have passed a licensing exam and are required to take continuing education courses. Your doctors at Valley Ranch Acupuncture will work together to find the best solution for achieving and maintaining wellness.
