Watch Orange Grow
The City of Orange has launched a new campaign to boost tourism and establish the city as a premier cultural destination. With the help of Imaginuity Interactive, Inc. the city recently revealed a new logo, slogan, and overall marketing campaign for the city.
The project came to light when the Nelda C. and H. J. Lutcher Stark Foundation hired Imaginuity to build awareness about its world-class cultural programs: Lutcher Theater, Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, the Stark Museum of Art, and the W. H. Stark House. With so many attractions to draw in visitors from around the region, the campaign quickly grew to encompass the entire city.
Imaginuity designed a new logo for the city of Orange, which features an “O” shape filled with orange blossoms and water to represent the natural resources of Orange. Orange vines extend from the outside of the logo to represent the city’s growth, and a historical type treatment represents Orange’s rich heritage.
Products/Services Offered
In addition to the new logo is the city’s new slogan: “Small town charm. World class culture.” This quickly sums up exactly what visitors can expect to find in Orange.
Another essential part of this campaign to help Orange grow is the task of building awareness and community support. Seed packets were given to Orange residents so they could grow orange flowers in support of this effort. Supporters can also set up yard signs with the campaign slogan: “Plant the Seed. Watch Orange Grow.” In addition, they can show their support with orange T-shirts with the website www.watchorangegrow.com. This website highlights various events and attractions around town and allows supporters to sign up for e-mail updates about the campaign.
The new logo and slogan will officially be used around town on city vehicles, signs, and more in 2008.
