Awareness

The first step is becoming aware of our pattern, we then become conscious of our  subconscious actions during eating. Awareness can be achieved by changing the location of your meal and turning off the TV. Focus only on the food and notice your emotional state. Are you bored, stressed, or sad? That is the awareness part; the next step is discovery.

Discovery

Think about what caused the feeling...if you feel stressed, what happened that day to create
that? Then address the cause not the effect. Eating doesn't help with the stressor, it only masks the feeling but we know that doesn't work. You’ve tried it.

Release
