WACO (January 2, 2008) - BrusterPowers, LLC, a locally owned and operated company, is proud to announce the premier of YawpBox, an interactive Internet, radio and television portal uniquely designed to enhance the online social networking community. The company will officially launch the interactive Internet component, YawpBox.com, on Monday, January 7, 2008.

“Through our many connections to students and professors at Baylor University and other schools throughout Texas, YawpBox will become a premier place for people to have fun, meet others, and most of all share their life experiences,” said Jay Powers, Waco-native and co-founder of YawpBox.

YawpBox’s Internet component, YawpBox.com, is a web 2.0 social networking web site that unites people through the sharing of common experiences in a fun, open and safe online environment.  Yawpers, a term referencing YawpBox users, are able to create personal profiles documenting exciting personal events. These life experiences are creatively expressed through the use of photos, video, audio and journal entries.  Other Yawpers are then able to view the profiles and leave comments about their own similar situations. These online correspondences result in  “yawp connections” in which Yawpers exchange tips, suggestions, future aspirations and most commonly, just a good laugh.YawpBox.com also connects Yawpers through its extensive gaming technology. The site features an array of computer games making it a haven for Yawpers to meet and engage in friendly competitions. YawpBox.com is a convenient way for Yawpers to network both personally and professionally in a fun and safe forum.

In the early spring of 2008, BrusterPowers, LLC, will premier YawpBox TV to introduce the online community to the Yawpers behind the personal profiles. Lex Staley and Terry James of The Lex & Terry Morning Radio Network are the entertaining hosts of this weekly, half-hour, television program. The pair’s signature wit and gut-wrenching humor will amuse audiences as they showcase the most popular videos and photos featured on YawpBox.com.  The segment’s content will always be fresh and selected by Yawpers via a voting mechanism featured on the website.

“YawpBox TV will be the first major television show where the subject matter is completely generated by the users of a social networking site,” said Anthony Bruster, co-founder of YawpBox. “With the originality of the Yawper-generated content and the humor of Lex and Terry, viewers are certain to receive exciting and genuine entertainment.”

Through a partnership with The Lex & Terry Morning Radio Network, YawpBox has also developed a strong radio component.  Lex and Terry, morning radio talk show hosts of this nationally syndicated and XM Satellite Radio program, will pose various challenges to their devout listeners. As part of the challenges, the listeners will be encouraged to upload video or photos of the exciting and humorous competitions to YawpBox.com.  Yawpers will then vote and select their favorite submissions. Lex and Terry will later showcase the winning videos or photos on a segment of YawpBox TV.

YawpBox is the brainchild of long time friends and Texas natives, Anthony Bruster and Jay Powers. The YawpBox concept first came to Bruster after overhearing a couple discussing an interesting and unique experience from one of their vacations.  After spending some time wondering about how many others had shared a similar experience, he decided to implement an online social network where people could regularly and openly share their unique life experiences.  Bruster shared this unique concept with Powers, who immediately believed in the concept.  Soon afterwards, YawpBox was birthed to reality.
