January 2008, DALLAS TX -- As the Dallas Business Journal announced the top 25 Web design firms in its highly-touted "Book of Lists," the teams at bloomfield knoble were too busy to notice that they had moved up 3 spots from last year to number 19.
"We were just too busy dealing with deadlines and projects," said Chris Weatherley, partner and creative director for the dallas-based interactive firm. "I spend most of my time worrying about continually providing top quality work to keep us number one with our clients. Recognition beyond our client expectations is just gravy."
In 2007, bloomfield knoble was ranked number 22 in Dallas-based Web design companies.
"I am very pleased by the recognition," said Eric Hirschhorn, partner and Business Director for the firm. "It is kind of funny to just be recognized for Web design. While we are certainly and innovator and leader in that area, and while it does make up 65% of our business, we do so many other interactive projects, from DVD-ROMs, video/audio and a host of technical solutions, I just wish we could get that message out more."
Hirschhorn went on to say that while he recognizes Web design is a key component to every clients business goal, it is what bloomfield knoble provides beyond that first service that has kept them growing for 10-plus years.

"By expanding our thinking beyond the design and technical, we have really grown the last five years to provide some high-level strategic planning and execution. Weatherley went on to add that the company purchases media, provides consulting services, print production and complete campaign management for every project. He cited work with Nationstar Mortgage, a leading conforming mortgage company that bloomfield knoble has serviced for six years.
"We started out building email templates and general Web page updates for Nationstar," he said. "Our last project included every phase of their new product launch -- campaign development, website design and trackable sales landing page, interactive CD creation, print ad design, media buying both online and offline, printing services, direct mail and then ROI reporting. Basically, we served as their ad agency. Only difference is, we are an interactive-based ad agency and we are more affordable."
Hirschhorn echoed his statements.
"We are a top producer of Flash designed websites, as well as content management system-based websites," he said. "And that is our bread and butter. Yet, we are so experienced in the case of design and advertising that it is a natural growth for us."
In fact, over the past eight years, bloomfield knoble has also become a leader in online learning and compliance-based training, as well as integrating content management systems.
"Web-based solutions is just the next generation for us," said Hirschhorn. "Bottom line, if you are not leading then you are eating someone's dust. We just don't want to be in a position where we can not make an educated recommendation to our clients. We may not have all the answers to the world's issues.
