Epic Summer Adventures and Tours

Each day following your arrival at Keystone Lodge will include guided trips and tours and exciting activities. On your first day, a guide will transfer you to River Run Village where you'll take an incredible ride on the Summit Express chairlift. You'll enjoy breathtaking views as you travel to the summit of Dercum Mountain, then take a guided walking tour to learn about local plants, animals and history. There will be plenty of opportunities to take in stunning views of the Continental Divide, Gore and Ten Mile Range, and you'll enjoy a refreshing picnic lunch atop the mountain.

Next, you'll take a short scenic drive to the beautiful town of Breckenridge. Here you'll learn about the history of this gold-rush town. You'll explore the Country Boy Mine and even have the chance to pan for gold at Eureka Creek. A stop in the town of Breckenridge affords families some free time to take a self-guided historic walking tour and shop at a variety of specialty stores and boutiques. You'll end the day with a feast on Mexican Food at the local favorite restaurant Mi Casa.

You'll be back at Keystone Lodge in plenty of time to rest up for the next Epic adventure. After breakfast the next day, you'll be escorted to the Upper Colorado River Recreation Area to begin a half day rafting adventure. This is a relaxing rafting trip that provides a great introduction to whitewater rafting. You'll have time to relax, sunbathe and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Next, you'll embark on a relaxing, two hour picturesque drive to Vail. At Vail Village, you can take your pick of activities to enjoy including a tour of the Ski Museum, a stroll along Recreation Path, a visit to the Vail Nature Center or shopping at the many shops and boutiques in the Village area. After a fabulous meal at the Lodge at Vail, you'll return to Keystone once again to rest up for departure day.

On the final day of your Colorado Mini-DreamTrip, you'll take a guided horseback ride through the White River National Forest. Guides will provide information on points of interest and answer questions about history, plants and wildlife along the way. After a one hour ride, you'll return to Keystone to relax, pack up and prepare to embark for home.

Although you'll spend much of your time on tours and activities off-site, your time spent at Keystone Lodge will give you plenty of opportunity to enjoy this luxury hotel. Each morning you'll enjoy lakeside breakfast dining at the Edgewater Café, and you can take advantage of the pool, hot tub and lounge evenings at Keystone Lodge.
