Dr. Ralph A. Gambardella is a clinical associate professor of orthopaedics at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. Dr. Gambardella earned his medical degree from and completed his residency at the University of Southern California. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic and is the clinic’s president and chairman of the board.
Dr. Gambardella is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and has authored more than 10 publications and four textbooks as well as facilitating more than 100 lectures. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and International Cartilage Repair Society serving on several educational committees for these organizations. He also serves on the editorial board of The Journal of Medicine and Sports, and Techniques in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
Dr. Gambardella’s main interest is sports medicine, and he is an orthopaedist for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Loyola Marymount University. Dr. Gambardella is past president of the Association of Major League Baseball Team Physicians.
