mundayMorning Creative Group, a DFW Advertising Agency, donated its time and talent to offer pro bono creative work to benefit nonprofit groups in the area.
mundayMorning Creative Group saw a problem, and they found a way to help. As a continous effort, Due to the slumping economy, many area non-profits are struggling to keep their organizations afloat. The agency wanted to help, so they held a 24-hour CreateAthon, which began on Jan. 29 at 10 a.m.
Called a "creative blitz" by the Dallas Morning News and the Dallas Observer, the CreateAthon was a 24-hour blitz in which mundayMorning Creative Group provided creative and marketing solutions to local North Texas nonprofit organizations on a pro-bono basis.
The entire team at mundayMorning dedicated a continuous 24-hour work cycle (equivalent to 3 business days) to North Texas nonprofits. Projects ranged from web site development, identity development, collateral pieces, print advertising, billboard design, marketing consulting and public relations planning. Several qualified 501(c)3 organizations were chosen from an application process based upon the scope of the work needed, the mission of the organization and the degree of need. At the end of the 24 hours, mundayMorning presented the print-ready projects to the selected nonprofit organizations.
The goal of the CreateAthon was to give back to the community through what mundayMorning does best- create amazing professional marketing solutions. In the end, mundayMorning gave nonprofit organizations advertising and marketing materials they could otherwise not afford. As the pioneers for the DFW area, mundayMorning was proud to be the first agency to bring this effort to North Texas. The CreateAthon has an annual date, but mundayMorning felt it important to kickstart the effort as soon as possible. mundayMorning will also participate in the national event in late 2009.
